The short answer
Teachers at Sydney's Anglican Schools Corporation earn $94,155 at Step 1.1 to $133,009 at Step 2.5 from 1 February 2026, under the Independent Schools (Teachers) Cooperative Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2025. A 4% rise from 1 February 2027 takes that to $97,921 to $138,329. In WA, AngliSchools pays 2.5% above public rates: $91,626 to $134,072 from December 2025.
- The Anglican Schools Corporation has no teachers' agreement of its own. It is a listed employer on the AISNSW cooperative agreement.
- Rises fall each February, not in October like NSW public schools.
- HALT teachers get a $10,406 allowance; leadership allowances reach $48,953.
- AngliSchools WA's new teacher agreement was posted in October 2026 but we have not confirmed it is approved.
Two different Anglican employers
'Anglican schools' covers many separate employers in Australia. This page covers the two largest Anglican school systems we could research: the Anglican Schools Corporation in Sydney, and AngliSchools (formerly the Anglican Schools Commission) in Western Australia. Many other Anglican schools are stand-alone independent schools. We have not researched their agreements, so pay there depends on that school's own agreement, with the Educational Services (Teachers) Award 2020 as the legal minimum.

The Anglican Schools Corporation (ASC) is listed as an employer in Schedule 6 of the Independent Schools (Teachers) Cooperative Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2025 (AE528546). AISNSW applied for the agreement; the FWC approved it on 2 April 2025, it operates from 9 April 2025 and its nominal expiry is 31 January 2028. ASC schools include Arndell, Claremont, Danebank, Leppington, Macquarie, Mamre, Marsden Park, Nowra, Oran Park, Orange, Penrith, Richard Johnson, Roseville and Rouse Hill.

Allowances for accomplished teachers and leaders
Annual allowances on top of salary. A Step 2.5 teacher with HALT earns $133,009 plus $10,406, or $143,415, from 1 February 2026 (our arithmetic).
Anglican Schools Corporation vs NSW public schools
NSW public teachers rise each October; ASC teachers rise each February. That means the two leapfrog. Right now an ASC graduate is ahead of a public graduate, and an ASC teacher at the top step is a little behind. From February 2027 the ASC top step moves ahead too. See the NSW public pay scale.
NSW public rates have no rise scheduled after 9 October 2026. The ASC HALT figures are Step 2.5 plus the HALT allowance, our arithmetic.

Calculate take-home payAnglican Schools Corporation vs Sydney Catholic Schools
Many Sydney teachers weigh an ASC school against a Catholic one. The two are on different cycles: ASC rises each February under the AISNSW agreement, Sydney Catholic Schools each October under the NSW and ACT Catholic agreement. The table shows how the lead changes hands through 2026 and 2027.
SCS has no rise scheduled before its agreement expires on 9 October 2027. ASC's agreement runs to 31 January 2028. Highly Accomplished and Lead pay is structured differently: SCS pays a $141,997 salary, ASC pays an allowance on top of your step.
Leadership pay is also built differently. A Coordinator 2 at SCS gets $20,743 on top of salary from 9 October 2026; a Leadership Level 2 at ASC gets $20,639 in 2026, rising to $21,465 in 2027. See our Sydney Catholic Schools pay page for the full SCS scale.
AngliSchools WA pay scale
AngliSchools, formerly the Anglican Schools Commission, runs Anglican schools in Western Australia. Its teacher agreement says salaries are 2.5% above comparable WA Department of Education rates, rising on the same dates (cl 49.1). The table below is from an AngliSchools WA Teacher Enterprise Agreement uploaded on 6 October 2026, running to 31 December 2029. That document has no signature page or FWC reference, so it is probably the version put to staff for a vote, and we have not confirmed it is approved.
Source: AngliSchools WA Teacher Enterprise Agreement (PDF, October 2026). Previous rates from 1 December 2024: Step 1 $88,957, Step 10 $130,167. Graduates also get a $2,000 a year allowance for two years. Promotional allowances (Category A, December 2025): Level 2 $13,317, Level 3 $9,568, Level 4 $5,694.
Compared with WA public schools ($88,178 at Level 2.1 to $127,737 at Level 2.9 from 6 December 2025), AngliSchools is ahead at both ends. It is also slightly ahead of Catholic Education WA at the top ($134,072 against $130,216). Step 1 and Step 10 take home $71,786 and $100,649 a year respectively after 2026-27 tax. See our CEWA pay page and the WA public pay scale.
Super and salary packaging
Both systems pay the 12% Superannuation Guarantee. The AISNSW agreement allows salary packaging (cl 11.4). At AngliSchools WA, packaging is allowed but you bear the provider costs and any FBT. Non-profit independent schools are usually FBT-rebatable, giving a 47% FBT rebate on up to $30,000 of grossed-up benefits a year. Our salary packaging guide and packaging calculator show what it is worth to you.
